As a proud supporter of the arts, Sweetgrass is happy to have the opportunity to continually work with Coal Mine Theatre and help promote their award winning shows.
CATEGORY E, which received its world premiere in Edmonton in 2015, produced by Maggie Tree Collective, garnered five Sterling Awards for New Play and Independent Production, among others. Beckett meets Stoppard in this highly praised horror-comedy. Two individuals share a white cell. One is a half-blind paraplegic. The other might be a clinical psychopath. A third person arrives. They pass the time with solo pursuits, play Monopoly together, and try their best not to kill each other. Mysteriously matter-of-fact about their environment, CATEGORY E is a scathing indictment of the brutality and baseness that can exist in science.
Sweetgrass is teaming up with Williams Sonoma at the Yorkdale Shopping Centre once again, to present Sweetgrass Golden Ale as the perfect pairing for the BBQ season. Sweetgrass is a light and refreshing German style Golden Ale that is perfect for food pairings, cooking and enjoying on a hot summer's day around the BBQ. This beer brings to life soft and elegant hop aromas with a light and malty nose showcasing notes of biscuit, lemon and honey. Offering a soothing flavour, Sweetgrass Golden Ale caresses the tongue with a gentle sweetness, reflecting on the bready and fruity bouquet, and delivers a quick and refreshing finish.
Help us send kids to camp! This is a charity that is near and dear to Sweetgrass' heart, so as an annual beer sponsor, we wanted to make sure you knew about this amazing event...
On Tuesday, April 24th, 2018, you can help provide 200 children and youth with a rewarding summer camp experience. All you have to do is attend, or donate to, the TORONTO KIWANIS BOYS AND GIRLS CLUB 9TH Annual Blueprint for the Future dinner and cocktail reception.
Net proceeds raised from this evening will go directly to offsetting the cost associated with providing an experimental summer day camp and overnight camping experience for at-risk inner-city children and youth. Our camps aim to help fight the effects of "summer learning loss". Without structured and supervised activities throughout the eight weeks of summer vacation, many children lose months of knowledge when they return back to school in September.

Farside's Artist In Residence, Daniel Tapper with his installation THREADS, invite you to the closing party, April 30th. Come hear the sound-sculpture, watch videos and more this Sunday at the closing party. Starts at 7pm. Presented by The Ontario Arts Council, FAIR & Sweetgrass Brewery.
"Threads is an installation and instrument designed to encourage collaborative performance. Inspired by mushroom mycelium networks the structure is not inherently musical, encouraging a process of exploration and play to form a myriad of unique and individual performance styles and techniques. Threads combines acoustically produced and digitally processed sounds blurring the line between natural and digital, as the installation grows with additional parts, processing and performer’s - sonic gestures collide creating symbiotic relationships bonding performers and instrument in an immersive web of sound.
The installation uses a combination of DIY instrument building techniques combined with sophisticated digital signal processing and multi-channel speaker diffusion."
